To say this year has been strange would be a graniose understatement. Everyone is coping the best they can and in different ways. And it seems as if things change on a daily basis. Making plans has become futile it seems. Some people have cancelled plans to go and see family and friends. Some people have hardly left the house. Others have moved states or even left the country to flee the chaos that life has been.
Most of us have been banned from attending church, further pushing us away from God and pushing Him our of our minds (no, attending church online is just not the same community that God intended). The world is against growing with God (which it always has been, but it’s infinitely harder to do so now).

Life has gotten in the way of your growth with God, and I’m here to tell you that it’s okay. God knows everything. He knows your heart. He knows your soul. He knows your intent. He most definitely know about this COVID virus and what it’s done to our world.
We all move through times in our life where we are extremely close to God and where we are far away. It’s okay to be far away. You don’t need to beat yourself up over it.
As far as I know, you can begin to sign up for these groups in August.
Visit here: http://www.bsfonline.org and sign up for email notifications for when this will be open for registration.
I’m SUPER excited about these online groups as it has been something I’ve been pushing since I started this blog many years ago. Bible study any time, any where. It doesn’t get much better! Who’s ready?
Take care and God bless!

Hey all!
It’s the last Sunday of the month, I’m drinking my coffee, and thinking about God and you all.
This year has been rough for many of us. It definitely has not been anything we imagined when we made our New Year’s Resolutions 6 months ago. Many of us are still facing restrictions in our lives we wish weren’t there. Many of us cannot travel to see new places, or even to see our friends and family. Many of us see life slipping by when we don’t have those days to waste.
I’m here to tell you it’s okay if you have nothing to say. Truly, God knows your heart, mind, and thoughts and knows what troubles you, where you need Him to show up, and how much pain you are in. But, He likes to hear our voices anyways. It’s the effort that matter, not the results.
What matters is that you do show up — not what you say. Show up, and God will show up. And for many of us, that’s all we need right now.
能上picacg的梯子. If you drive anywhere (which is the vast majority of us), you can listen to the Bible while in the car. Even if you are only driving five minutes to the grocery store. Any time with God is better than no time with God.
Pick a Bible verse and memorize it. There are so many good (and short) Bible verses to memorize, and it takes very little time. Choose one every week, and you’ll be surprised at how much you’ve memorized of the Bible.
Put Bible verses around your home. This can be on whiteboards, on the fridge, on your bathroom mirror, on your BBQ grill, and on your home gym. Sticky notes fit anywhere!
Pray. When you pray, you don’t need anything — only a heart right for God. It’s that simple.
Decide to read the Bible for 5 minutes every day. That’s it! We all have 5 minutes to spare, so just do it!
I hope you’ve enjoyed these quick tips to help you study the Bible when you have no time. Contact me today with questions!

2 Corinthians 4:7-9
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

Coffee and God: Living Life on God’s Terms
by atozmom, posted in Coffee and God: Sunday's Monthly Coffee Chat
Hey all!
Last Sunday of the month so it’s coffee and God time.
As I was running this morning, I kept thinking about our lives right now.
Everyone keeps saying how this will change our lives forever. I say only if you let it.
We humans have a very short memory. This, too, shall pass.
I don’t think this will ever happen again. That is why the stay-at-home order have been extended in some places. No one ever remembers (again, our memories are short) Newton’s Third Law of Motion: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. No one thought we’d enter a recession to rival 2008. No one thought we could come close to a depression like The Great Depression. Therein lies the problem: no one thought; they only reacted.
All that aside, my point is this: you can’t stop people from living. Our lives on this side of eternity are but a blip in time. God snaps his fingers faster than we live. Our days are numbered, and no one knows when God calls us home except God.
You can’t stop people from living life to the fullest every day they are given because for all we know, it could be our last. And do you want your last day to be stuck in your home because a government, which is intangible, tells you to? Or do you want to live your live on your own terms, taking risks and chances, hugging people and loving people? Or do you want to stay 6 feet apart for the rest of your life?
Pretty sure I know God’s answer to that one.
The fact of the matter is this: God calls you when He wants you. Whether that’s from a virus, a traffic accident, or from old age, we don’t have any control over the matter. We need to let go of the need to try and control viruses and life. Give it to God. That is His job. Our job is merely to reflect His glory in living. Can we do that shut up in our homes, not at church, not in the community, not at our jobs, or not even walking our dogs?
Taking precautions are necessary, but not to the point where life stops. Humans were meant to live for however many days God grants us. And no one can say otherwise.
BSF Study Questions Acts Lesson 30: Lesson Review for Acts & Letters of the Apostles
by atozmom, posted in BSF Acts 2024/2024
Lesson 30 is all about what you learned from the study of Acts.
To be honest, I’m unsure. Sorry I can’t be more helpful than that.
My life (as have most of ours) has been consumed with the effects the coronavirus is having on our world and how it is impacting our lives. Right now, it’s about doing what I need to do to keep myself mentally, physically, and spiritually strong and to keep my family going as well. This has entailed a lot of prayer as my job and my husband’s pay has been cut. It’s about making it through till May where hopefully the world can go back to normal. It’s about praying that I don’t get furloughed and my husband doesn’t get laid off. It’s about surviving and enduring, to be honest.
In that respect, we’ve all got to experience a bit of what Paul went through with the challenges and battles he faced. It’s given us all a greater appreciation for our lives before the coronavirus. This will change us all for a while at least — and I’m unsure if it will be for the good.
Pray, trust, believe that God has got this.
God is much more powerful that a stupid, microscopic organism, which He is in control of.
Take every day as it comes; that’s all you can do.
Next year, we head back to the Old Testament to the book of Genesis. I am unsure what I will do this summer. I truly cannot think that far ahead at this time.
